RECORDINGS

The Freddi-Henchi band made several excellent recordings in the sixties and seventies.  Although they aren't easy to find, one shows up now and then and usually gets a good price.  The 45s usually range from $10 to $50 depending on which one and what the condition is, while the album consistently sells for $75 and up, with one recently fetching $130.  Below are scans of some of the records.

"Cecil, the Unwanted French Fry" b/w "Out O' Sight" credited to The Soul Setters on Onacrest 503

"Biscuits and Buttermilk" b/w "I'm Just a Nobody" credited to Freddie and Henchi and the S.S. Revue on MoSoul 102

Above is a white label promo of "Folsom Prison" b/w "Popcorn Baby" credited to Freddy-Henchi & The Soulsetters on Tower 479

"Things Are Changing" b/w "Clancey, He's a Real Good Cop" credited to Freddie-Henchi & The Soulsetters on Patheway 107

"Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um" b/w "Come Down" credited to Freddy Henchi & the Soulsetters on Bell 951  It is the only record release by them that was not produced by Hadley Murrell.  The single was produced by Mike Post who was well known for recording television theme songs.

This is a white label promo with "Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um" on both sides.  This is an excellent cover of the Curtis Mayfield song that Major Lance had a huge hit with.
